Managing Internal Links
SEOJuice automatically creates internal links between contextually relevant pages on your website. This guide covers how to manage those links — viewing, removing, controlling placement, and troubleshooting common questions.
Viewing Your Links
To see all internal links SEOJuice has created:
- Go to your website dashboard
- Click the Links tab
- You’ll see a list of all active links with: source page, target page, anchor text, relevance score, and click count
You can search, filter, and sort links to find specific ones.
Where Links Appear on Your Site
SEOJuice links are injected via JavaScript when visitors load your pages. This means:
- Links appear in the rendered page — Visitors and search engine bots see them as normal links.
- Links are NOT in your source code — If you view your page source (Ctrl+U), you won’t see SEOJuice links. They’re added dynamically after the page loads.
- To verify links, visit your page in a browser and look for them in the content. You can also use browser DevTools (F12) → Elements tab to inspect the rendered DOM.
Removing Links
Remove a Single Link
- Go to the Links tab in your dashboard
- Find the link you want to remove
- Click the delete/remove button next to it
The link will be removed from your site within the next page load.
Remove All Links from a Page
- Navigate to the specific page in your dashboard
- In the page details, you can remove all links associated with that page
Remove All Links Site-Wide
If you want to stop all automatic linking:
- Go to Website Settings
- Set the Internal Links optimization mode to Off
Existing links will no longer be injected when pages load. You can re-enable linking at any time.
Controlling Link Placement
Include/Exclude Paths
Control which sections of your site participate in linking:
- Include Only Paths — Limit linking to specific sections (e.g.,
/blog/, /articles/) - Exclude Paths — Prevent linking on specific sections (e.g.,
/checkout/, /account/)
Configure these in your website settings. For detailed instructions, see Exclude Pages.
Exclude Individual Pages
You can exclude specific pages from the linking structure entirely. This prevents links from being created on that page AND prevents other pages from linking to it. See Exclude a Specific Page.
Link Factors
Link factors give you fine-grained control over linking preferences:
- Positive factors — Encourage links matching specific keywords or targeting specific pages. Useful for prioritizing your most important content.
- Negative factors — Discourage links with specific keywords or to specific pages. Useful for preventing irrelevant cross-linking (e.g., linking product names to different products).
Access link factors in your website settings under the Links section.
Key Pages
Designate your most important pages (landing pages, conversion pages, pillar content) as Key Pages. SEOJuice will prioritize linking to these pages across your site.
Common Questions
Why do I see 791 links in the dashboard but can’t find them on my site?
The dashboard count includes all generated links across your entire site. On any single page, you’ll only see a few relevant links. Also remember that links are JavaScript-injected — view the rendered page in a browser, not the page source code.
Why are links appearing on product pages when I only want them on blog content?
Use Include Only Paths to restrict linking to content sections (e.g., /blog/), or use Exclude Paths to block specific areas. You can also use negative link factors to prevent specific cross-linking patterns.
A link keeps appearing on a specific page even after I remove it. Why?
SEOJuice may regenerate the link if it’s deemed highly relevant. To permanently prevent it, use a negative link factor or exclude that specific page from linking.
I removed the SEOJuice script. Will links stay?
No. Since links are injected via JavaScript, removing the script immediately stops all link injection. No traces remain on your site.
Exporting Links
You can export your complete link list from the dashboard. This is useful for:
- Record-keeping before a CMS migration
- Sharing with team members or clients
- Analyzing link structure externally
